Oh, wie schön ist Panama - The trip to Panama

Nachdem wir schweren Herzens vom Segelboot wieder runtermussten, sind wir von der Karibik an den Pazifik gefahren (das ist hier nicht besonders weit) nach Panama-Stadt. Schon etwas überraschend, dass man so viele Hochhäuser braucht, um ein paar Steuern zu hinterziehen… Aber es lässt sich gut aushalten dort, auch wenn es tropisch warm ist Tag und Nacht und etliche Tierchen zwicken und beissen. Die Tigerente war natürlich auch dabei und: es gibt hier wirklich viele Bananen!
After we had to leave the boat, we quickly drove from the Carribean Sea to the Pacific Ocean (here only about 100km) and ended up between the skyscrapers of Panama City. We had no idea that it takes so many high buildings to evade taxes… Anyway, despite the tropical heat and the bugs that bite you from time to time, the city has its charms, good coffee, a modern metro line and nice sunsets. And for fans of Janosch: it does really smell of bananas there!
